Storybook is an exploration of emotional trials that define an individual’s life. Throughout this album Alex Gråey explores a mixture of real life and unconscious self-discovery. “I’ve always had difficulties understanding who I was growing up. only when I started to pursue music as a self-therapeutic device did I really start to find who I was. These songs describe the beginning of that journey as I struggle to piece together my identity.” Storybook guides the listener though the wide-open landscapes and the narrow passages of the mind with each song an attempt to put the puzzle pieces back together.
